The Hawks, Trails, and Beach Walk enjoyed many raptors as well as other birds on pond and trail. Highlights include: multiple Merlins perched and flying overhead; Peregrine Falcon; American Kestrel; Sharp-shinned, Cooper's, and  Red-tailed Hawks; Osprey; an assortment of ducks including Blue- and Green-winged Teal, Mallards, both American and Eurasian Wigeon, and Black Ducks;  American Bittern; Black-crowned Night Herons; and Glossy Ibis.
