Sunset Birding at the Meadows - Friday, September 13th, 2013

Great weather and good birding. Shorebirds, including two "spiffy" juvenile Pectoral Sandpipers, were flushed by the first of nine hungry Merlins. Usual gulls and terns on the beach including Lesser Black-backed Gull. We finished on the west trail at dusk with a Sora and a fly-over Common Nighthawk. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, Jesse Amesbury, and Deb Payson.
