Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, September 21st, 2013

The morning started slow and gradually we found several pockets of birds. The Willow Pond had four Wood Ducks, and at least three Black-crowned Night-Herons. Overhead we had several Osprey, a Bald Eagle, and Sharp-shinned Hawks. There were 4 to 5 Northern Flickers, Red-bellied and Downy Woodpeckers, and we heard one Hairy. Passerines included Red-eyed Vireo, Palm, Yellow, Black-and-white Warblers, and Common Yellowthroats. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, and Catherine Busch.
