We didn't cover much ground on this morning's Cox Hall Creek WMA walk but we saw a lot of birds! The 15 species of warbler included Tennessee, Blackburnian, Chestnut-sided, Northern Waterthrush, Blackpoll, Black-and-White, American Redstart, Palm, Pine, Prairie, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Northern Parula, and Common Yellow-throat. The site's many snags provided perches for Merlin, Blue Grosbeak, a fish-eating Osprey and a Green Heron. Leaders: Kathy & Roger Horn, Cindy Bamford, Joe Demko, Janet Crawford & Deb Payson.
