Photo Walks with Mike Hannisian - Saturday, September 14th, 2013

It's mid-September at Cape May and the variety of viewing and photographic subjects is amazing (unless, of course, you already know about Cape May!). Among the dragonflies that posed for us this weekend were male Black Saddlebags and Blue Dasher as well as a strange female Carolina Saddlebags with a bent abdomen. Among the butterflies that posed for us were American Copper and Gray Hairstreak. Finally, among the birds that posed were Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Great Egret, and first year Little Blue Heron. Given the time of year, one can only expect things to get even better between now and the Cape May Autumn Festival in late October.
