Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, September 7th, 2013

There was some interesting birding in various patches around the "Beanery." The Willow Pond had four Green Herons, and three Black-crowned Night-Herons. Raptors included two Bald Eagles, a Red-tailed and a Cooper's Hawk, Kestrel, Merlin, and both vultures. Several patches of passerines held White-eyed, Red-eyed, and Philadelphia Vireos, as well as Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, American Redstarts, Common Yellowthroats, Northern Waterthrush, Prairie, and Tennessee Warblers.  Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, Catherine Busch, Deb Payson, Emily Wilmoth, and Jeremy Clothier.
