The Twilight Watch at the Meadows enjoyed a variety of raptors including Northern Harriers, Merlins, Sharp-shinned, and Cooper's Hawks. Ducks included the ever-present Mallards, Blue- and Green-winged Teal, Northern Shovelers, and Northern Pintails. We ended with excellent looks at both Sora and Virginia Rail. Although not birds, we enjoyed watching a pod of Bottle-nosed Dolphins cavorting and body surfing right off shore. Leaders: Warren Cairo, Bill Smythe, Lee Smythe, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg.
