Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, October 15th, 2012

A few ducks and shorebirds were present including Northern Shoveler and Ruddy Duck, as well as both Yellowlegs and a Western Willet. Many gulls and terns were on the beach including a large flock of Royal Terns, and an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull. Several Northern Harriers were hunting the marshes. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Warren Cairo, Janet Crawford, Catherine Busch, and Carrie Bell.
