Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, October 17th, 2012

Lots of birds overhead this morning, including at least 1000 Tree Swallows, hundreds of American Robins, as well as Pine Siskins, and American Pipits. Nice variety of ducks on the ponds as well as up to 8 Pied-billed Grebes. Raptors were also numerous with Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks, and Northern Harriers overhead. Passerines included Palm and Yellow-rumped Warblers, Blue Jays, numerous Red-breasted Nuthatches, and Northern Flickers. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Warren Cairo, Steve Weis, and Chris Marks.
