In spite of lingering fog and spotty rain the Walk for All People enjoyed some good birding. A dramatic moment came when we watched a young Bald Eagle chasing an Osprey with a fish through the air. After some desperate maneuvering the Osprey dropped the fish and the Bald Eagle missed it! Other highlights include large numbers of migrating Blue Jays, lots of Northern Flickers, several Red-breasted Nuthatches, and a young Caspian Tern begging an adult for food. We also had a perched Baltimore Oriole by Lighthouse Pond. Leaders: Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Cindy Bamford, and Patty Rourke.
