Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, October 8th, 2012

A brisk day with the sky full of Tree Swallows, as well as some Sharp-shinned, Cooper's, Broad-winged Hawks, and Ospreys. Several Lesser Black-backed Gulls were on the beach. Highlights were fly-over Eastern Meadowlark and American Pipit, a scope view of Sora and Common Gallinule, and finally a soaring juvenile light morph Swainson's Hawk. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Catherine Busch, Janet Crawford, and Karen Johnson.
