Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, October 20th, 2012

Pockets of birds were here and there around the trail. Yellow-rumps were predominant, but Palm Warblers and both Kinglets were interspersed. Other warblers were 1 Nashville and 1 Black-throated Green. Several groups of Purple Finches were found in tree tops. Five Black-crowned Night-Herons were in the Willow Ponds. The large group had to be split in two. Group 1's list is below. Group 2 reported similar birds with the addition of Cattle Egret. Leaders: Group 1 - Karl Lukens and Kathy Horn; Group 2 - Chuck Slugg and Chris Hajduk.
