Higbee Beach Birding - Friday, October 12th, 2012

Good raptor flight with many Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks flying about. Large numbers of Northern Flicker and Yellow-rumped Warblers also around and nice views of 2 Blue-headed Vireos. A very cooperative Yellow-billed Cuckoo posed for extended scope views. Many Pine Siskins mostly overhead and a few perched with Goldfinches, as well as a couple of perched Purple Finches. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Chuck Slugg, Kathy & Roger Horn, Chris Marks, Patty Rourke, Carrie Bell, and Alyssia Church.
