Bird Walk for All People - Thursday, October 11th, 2012

The sky was full of Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks for the Bird Walk for All People. Other raptors included Bald Eagles, Broad-winged Hawks, Ospreys, and Kestrels. In spite of the windy conditions there were lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers, many Gold- and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and Palm Warblers in the trees and shrubs. Flocks of American Goldfinches, Blue Jays, and Red-winged Blackbirds passed overhead. Leaders: Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Cindy Bamford, and Patty Rourke.
