Cox Hall Creek WMA - Sunday, October 14th, 2012

Group 1: The Red-headed Woodpeckers are back! At Cox Hall Creek WMA, that is. Whether these are migrants passing through or juveniles planning to stay the winter as in years past, 2 immature Red-headed Woodpeckers were working the dead snags there this morning. There are also MANY Sparrows in the weedy fields and mixed flocks of Pine Siskins, Eastern Bluebirds, American Goldfinch and Housefinches, making for good side-by-side comparisons. Leaders: Kathy & Roger Horn, Janet Crawford, Cindy Bamford, and Carrie Bell.
