Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, October 10th, 2012

Nice variety of ducks including both Teal, Pintail, Northern Shoveler, and American Wigeon as well as 8 Pied-billed Grebes. We also had 3 fly-over Common Loons, and 2 Pectoral Sandpipers. Raptors included a close Northern Harrier, numerous Osprey, Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks, and a Merlin perched with prey. Other birds of interest were ~8 American Coots, a Common Gallinule, and the highlight, a Dickcissel perched on the brushpile. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Patty Rourke, and Chris Marks.
