There was a big movement of all kinds of birds flying overhead, including American Robins, Red-winged Blackbirds, Cedar Waxwings, and Yellow-rumped Warblers. Raptors were also present with several Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks, Northern Harriers, and a Bald Eagle. On the beach we had the usual gulls as well as a Lesser Black-backed Gull with Royal Terns and Northern Gannets offshore. We finished with an elusive Sora and Virginia Rail at the street end of the east path. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Catherine Busch, and Janet Crawford.
