Sunset Birding at the Meadows - Friday, August 2nd, 2013

Nice evening and great waders and shorebirds. We had Great and Little Blue Herons, Great and Snowy Egrets, as well as Glossy Ibis. Shorebirds included Semipalmated Plover, Killdeer, Spotted, Semipalmated, Least, and 21 Stilt Sandpipers and a couple of Short-billed Dowitchers. The beach had Black Skimmers and American Oystercatchers. Highlight was a perched Great Horned Owl for good scope views. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, and Jesse Amesbury.
