Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, August 28th, 2013

Cloudy and somewhat humid but still birdy. Waders included Great Blue, Little Blue, Green, and Tricolored Herons, Black-crowned Night-Heron, and Great and Snowy Egret. A few new ducks like Green-winged and Blue-winged Teal and Northern Shoveler were seen. Also of interest were a perched Belted Kingfisher, two Northern Harriers, a Caspian Tern, and many overhead "binking" Bobolinks. A singing Blue Grosbeak was also a good bird in the scope.  Leaders: Mike Crewe, Megan Crewe, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Warren Cairo, Catherine Busch, Chris Marks, Shaun & Cindy Bamford, and Jesse Amesbury.
