Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, July 31st, 2013

Lots of Terns on the beach and Bunker Pond railing. They consisted of Common, Forster's, Least, Royal, and Gull-billed Terns in all types of plumage. Some shorebirds flying overhead included Least, Semipalmated, and Solitary Sandpipers, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs and Killdeer. A juvenile Little Blue Heron perched on the Bunker Pond pier railing and gave us good looks.  Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Chris Marks, and Hugh Simmons.
