Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, August 24th, 2013

A clear, sunny and birdy morning. From the parking lot, and not far from it, we had Orchard Orioles, Great Crested Flycatchers, a Least Flycatcher, a dozen or more Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Indigo Bunting, Gray Catbird, Northern Cardinal, and Field Sparrow. Other good birds included waders at the ponds, or in the air, such as Great and Snowy Egrets, Green Heron, and Black-crowned Night-Heron. We had good look at a Peregrine Falcon as it flew overhead. Warblers were American Redstart, Yellow Warbler, and a Northern Waterthrush. Leaders: Karl Lukens, and Kathy & Roger Horn.
