The first EZ Birding Walk of the fall season got lucky with the weather and didn't get rained on this morning. The variety of terns kept our identifications skills sharp. Species included Royal, Common, Forsters, and Least Terns. There was also a small flock of Barn Swallows sitting on the beach. A few Tree Swallows and many Purple Martins flew overhead. Unfortunately there was a huge number of Mute Swans on Bunker Pond. There was also a white Little Blue Heron. We never made it into the woods. Leaders: Chuck Slugg, Janet Crawford.
