Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, August 17th, 2013

Nice weather for birding, a little cool at the start. Good views of Indigo Buntings and Blue Grosbeak which are breeding birds here. Also at least 4 Yellow Warblers which are most likely migrants. Other birds of interest were 3 Black-crowned Night-Herons and a Green Heron at the willow pond. Four Great Crested Flycatchers were seen together - probably a breeding family. Meanwhile overhead there were many Great and Snowy Egrets. Hummingbirds were seen throughout the walk. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, and Hugh Simmons.
