The Heron and Egret rookery is full of nesting and displaying Black-crowned Night-Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, and Double-crested Cormorants. We had some drama when a Great Black-backed Gull took a gosling. Other highlights were a White-faced Ibis, Blue- and Green-winged Teal, Willets and Semipalmated Plovers, 3 American Coot, 7 Bald Eagles, and Red-breasted Mergansers. There were lots of Clapper Rails, Osprey and Green-winged Teal at Thompson's Beach. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Janet Crawford, Dave Lord, Warren Cairo, Chris Marks, Chuck and Mary Jane Slugg.
