Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, April 23rd, 2012

Lots of shore birds feeding and flying about, mostly Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, but a Dunlin, a Solitary, and some Least Sandpipers also were seen. One Cliff Swallow was amongst Tree, Barn, and Northern Rough-winged Swallows. We found only one Piping Plover, 3 American Oystercatchers, Sanderling, and 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull on a very cold and windy beach. Also 2 Horned Larks. Leaders:  Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Warren Cairo, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, and Catherine Busch.
