Birds of Belleplain State Forest - Thursday, April 12th, 2012

Still cold and early in the season, but some of the early warblers were singing including Pine, and Yellow-throated, which were also seen, and Louisiana Waterthrush which was only heard. Eastern Phoebe and Chipping Sparrow were also easy to find. Good scope views of an Osprey eating a large fish while perched in a tree. Leaders:  Jim Armstrong, Bert Hixon, Karl Lukens, and Patty Rourke.
