Birds of Belleplain State Forest - Thursday, April 26th, 2012

Chilly with no sun and the birds seemed quieter than usual. In general, warblers were good, some being seen and some heard only. Nice looks at Louisiana Waterthrush, and a fair look at Prothonotary. First of the year for some were the several singing Wood Thrushs. Raptors included 2 adult Bald Eagles and 1 Red-tailed Hawk. Leaders: Jim Armstrong, Bert Hixon, Karl Lukens, Patty Rourke, and Karen Johnson.
