Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

Good view of sea birds including Northern Gannets and Red-throated Loons plus the usual terns and gulls. Shore birds included several Wilson's Snipe, a few Lesser Yellowlegs, as well as Killdeer and 2 American Oystercatchers on the beach. First of the year for some, a singing House Wren was enjoyed by all. The wader of the day was Little Blue Heron with 2 adult and 1 juvenile fly-overs, and 3 adults (same birds?) scopable in the ponds. Leaders:  Karl Lukens, Warren Cairo, Patty Rourke, and Chris Marks.
