Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, August 5th, 2013

Again we had good waders and shorebirds. Waders included Great Blue Heron, Great and Snowy Egrets, Green Heron, and Glossy Ibis. Shorebirds included many Semipalmated and Least Sandpipers, both Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper, as well as 2 White-rumped and 1 Pectoral Sandpiper. Overhead we had 2 immature Bald Eagles and a Red-tailed Hawk. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Steve Weis, Catherine Busch, Jesse Amesbury, Janet Crawford, Shaun Bamford, Chris Marks, Mike Hanissian, and Nancy Watson.
