Sunset Birding at the Meadows - Friday, October 4th, 2013

Good shorebirds, and waders in the center area between the main and east paths and with good light. Shore birds included Killdeer, Semipalmated Plover, both Yellowlegs, and the star of the evening, a juvenile American Golden Plover. Among the Egrets was a nice Tricolored Heron. Other birds of interest were Palm Warblers, Savannah Sparrows, and fly-over Blue Jays and Flickers. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Kathy & Roger Horn, Carrie Bell, and Jesse Amesbury.
