Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, October 14th, 2013

Lots of ducks this morning including two fly-over Wood Ducks, Gadwall, American Wigeon, one Black Duck, Mallards, Blue and Green-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, and Northern Pintail. Overhead there were always several Sharp-shinned Hawks with a few Cooper's Hawks, and once in a while a Merlin or Peregrine Falcon, plus two immature Bald Eagles. Other birds of interest were two Lesser Black-backed Gulls on the beach, many Yellow-rumped Warblers, and one Bobolink that perched near the parking lot.
