Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, April 28th, 2014

A nice morning and a very good start with a perched and singing Blue Grosbeak, and a perched Orchard Oriole, both scoped from the parking lot. A Glaucous Gull was seen in the plover pond, and on the beach we had at least 11 American Oystercatchers. Off shore there were Surf and Black Scoters, and far off Northern Gannets. The ponds contained three Glossy Ibis, a Greater Yellowlegs, and a small flock of Least Sandpipers, and a hunting adult male Northern Harrier. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Steve Weis, Catherine Busch, Marc & Lynne Breslow.
