Birds of Belleplain - Thursday, May 29th, 2014

A very cool and breezy morning and the birds were somewhat quiet. We did track down a female Summer Tanager doing it's "Pik-i-tuk" call, and later had a distant view of a Scarlet Tanager. We also tracked down a Hooded Warbler and were able to view it. We had nice looks at Eastern Bluebirds a couple of which attacked the car's mirrors. We also had good views of an Acadian Flycatcher, and a distant view of a singing Blue Grosbeak. Leaders: Bert Hixon, Shaun Bamford, and Karl Lukens.
