Driving rain and 30 mph winds didn't stop the intrepid birders who showed up for this afternoon's Meadows walk. The Chimney Swifts were flying low and a decent selection of shorebirds seemed unfazed by the inclement weather, among them a Stilt Sandpiper. By the end of the walk the wind had died down and a group of warblers, including Blackpoll, Black-and-White, Magnolia, Common Yellowthroat, and Yellow were feeding and calling busily along the path edges. Leaders: Kathy Horn, Warren Cairo, and Alan Mart.
