Spring Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, May 3rd, 2014

A comfortable morning and some good birds including good looks at three Glossy Ibis, a Killdeer on nest, a Greater Yellowlegs, and two Wilson's Snipe. Also of note was a Red-bellied Woodpecker hanging around, and entering a new tree hole. Two Prothonotary Warblers were singing, but only a few got a glimpse of it. We also had good looks at Common Yellowthroats, Prairie Warbler, two Indigo Buntings, and an Orchard Oriole. An interesting sighting was a large Snapping Turtle well away from water. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Catherine Busch, and Chris Hajduk.
