Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, May 5th, 2014

A cool and very breezy morning. We started off well with a singing Blue Grosbeak in the parking lot. Waders included several Great Egrets, at least seven Snowy Egrets, a fly-over Cattle Egret, and a fly-by flock of Glossy Ibis. There appears to be two American Oystercatchers on nest on the beach. Other interesting birds were two Least Terns, four Eastern Kingbirds coming off the water, and lots of Barn and Tree Swallows. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Catherine Busch, and Carrie Bell.
