Birding the Meadows - Monday, April 15th, 2013

There were a few ducks other than Mallard and Gadwall, i.e., Blue-winged and Green-winged Teal, and Northern Shovelers. On the beach we had 1 Piping Plover and 3 American Oystercatchers. Off shore there were a good number of Northern Gannets, some rather close, and 10-12 Red-throated Loons. Waders included Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets coming into breeding plumage, and 1 Glossy Ibis. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Steve Weis, and Catherine Busch.
