Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, July 22nd, 2013

A foggy day but lots of interesting birds. Waders included Great and Snowy Egrets, Glossy Ibis, and Green Heron. Shorebirds seen were Semipalmated Plover and Sandpiper, Spotted, Least and Stilt Sandpipers, Willet, both Yellowlegs, and Short-billed Dowitcher. Also of interest were Eastern Kingbirds feeding 3 nestlings, a singing Blue Grosbeak, and a distant fly-in and fly-out Black-necked Stilt. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Steve Weis, Warren Cairo, Catherine Busch, Carrie Bell, and Jesse Amesbury.
