Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, July 6th, 2013

It seemed like a morning of Fall Migration with movement of 30 Glossy Ibis, 2 Spotted Sandpipers, 4 Greater and 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Willet, and 20 Short-billed Dowitchers most flying overhead. On the beach we had Least, Forster's, and 2 Royal Terns, as well as Black Skimmers and American Oystercatchers. Also of interest were 2 Yellow-breasted Chats  (one seen briefly), a family of Pine Warblers including a juvenile, and a 1st summer male Orchard Oriole bringing food to a female on nest. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn.
