Sunset Birding at the Meadows - Friday, August 24th, 2012

There were enough waders and shorebirds to make for some interesting viewing. Lots of Semipalmated Plover and Sandpipers to examine while looking for an oddity. Several of the Least and Semi-Sandpipers were in bright juvenile plumage. The beach held many Sanderling, American Oystercatchers, a couple of Ruddy Turnstones, and 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn.
