Impending rain never materialized, and we did have some nice shorebirds to view including both Yellowlegs, Stilt, Least and Semipalmated Sandpiper, and Semipalmated Plover. A fly-by Cooper's Hawk drew the attention of many birds. The beach contained at least 9 American Oystercatchers, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and numerous Royal Terns as well as a hundred plus Sanderling. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Steve Weis, Janet Crawford, Catherine Busch, and Dave Lord.
