Butterfly Walk at Goshen - Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

Cape May, August, flowering plants, and sun; you need no more for butterflies. So it was this week and we were fortunate to get good looks at such critters as Painted Lady (which far outnumbered American Lady), Sachem, Salt Marsh Skipper and Zabulon Skipper. Also seen were Eastern Tiger, Spicebush and Black Swallowtails, Common Buckeye, Eastern Tailed-Blue, and both hummingbird moths: Hummingbird Clearwing and Snowberry Clearwing. Leaders: Nancy Watson and Mike Hannisian.
