Birding Cape May Point - August 11th, 2012

Because it was quiet at the Rea Farm, we moved the Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm walk to Cape May Point State Park where we had lots of terns, waders and shorebirds to look at and study. Many scope views of 4 species of terns in both basic, alternate, and juvenile plumage, many times in one field of view. Nice close look at juvenile Little Blue Heron and just to make things interesting and scatter all the birds, a fly-over pass by a Peregrine Falcon and later a Cooper's Hawk. Leader: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, and Catherine Busch.
