Higbee Beach Birding - Friday, August 17th, 2012

Generally quiet but in several areas there were small flocks of passerines. Warblers included many Redstarts, Black and Whites, Blue-winged, Canada, and Ovenbird. Of the 4-5 Empidonax flycatchers we saw, we identified 1 Alder and 1 Least. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Chris Marks, Catherine Busch, and Carrie Bell.
