Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, August 20th, 2012

Some good looks at waders and shorebirds this morning. Waders included great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Green Heron, and juvenile Snowy Egret and Glossy Ibis. Shore birds included both Yellowlegs, and both Semipalmated Sandpiper and Plover. At least 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and American Oystercatchers were on the beach with numerous Sanderlings. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Steve Weis, Catherine Busch, Janet Crawford, and Carrie Bell.
