Spring Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, May 25th, 2013

Cold, clear, and very windy. We did manage to get good scope views of Eastern Kingbird, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Indigo Bunting. Numerous Swallows, Tree, Barn, Northern Rough-winged, and Purple Martin. The highlight of the walk however, was a flock of 7 Mississippi Kites pretty close, and one a little behind totaling EIGHT!! Other later sightings of 1, 2, 3, birds made total sightings ~ 13. Fabulous!! Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, and Catherine Busch.
