Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, May 1, 2013

A nice day weather wise and some good birds here and there. Offshore there were a few Northern Gannets and on the beach were 2 pair of American Oystercatchers on nest, and 1 Piping Plover on nest in an "exclosure". Three other Piping Plover were at the Plover ponds. Lots of swallows flying about including 1 Bank Swallow. A pair of bluebirds were using one of the bird boxes in the park, as were a pair of Tree Swallows. House wrens were close by hoping to get one of the boxes. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Warren Cairo, and Steve Weis.
