Higbee Beach Birding - Friday, September 4th, 2015

" Bink", "Bink" ...That's the sound that was most prevalent this morning at Higbee Beach. Bobolinks were flowing overhead. More were heard than seen as they often fly very high making them difficult to count. American Redstarts and Eastern Kingbirds are still plentiful. Wonder if they are waiting for more favorable winds? A few lingering Purple Martins, a delightful sighting of a Scarlet Tanager as well as an American Kestrel excited everyone in the group. Leaders: David LaPuma, Chris Marks, Roger and Kathy Horn, Carrie Bell, Mary Watkins, Catherine Busch, and Jacob Drucker.
