Bird Walk for All People - Thursday, September 3rd, 2015

There was a group of Laughing Gulls of mixed ages in the parking lot. As we went to survey the beach, a Peregrine Falcon was flying west and an American Kestrel was flying east. On Bunker Pond, we counted 54 Mute Swans and one Black Swan with Mallards, an American Wigeon, and Blue-winged Teal. Behind the dune were Field Sparrows, a Palm Warbler, and a Northern Waterthrush. Throughout the walk, there were Bobolinks "binking' overhead with one flock low enough for us to observe. In the wooded area, we had Black-and-white and Common Yellowthroat Warblers. We ended the walk with good looks at a male and female Blue Grosbeak. Leaders: Chuck Slugg, Warren Cairo.
