The first Saturday afternoon walk had beautiful early fall weather. We were greeted by Glossy Ibis flying over the parking lot and Yellow Warblers as we walked through the woods. Along the trails, we saw Blue Grosbeaks, Carolina Chickadees, and Cedar Waxwings. We had several species of ducks including Blue- and Green-winged Teal, and Northern Shovelers. On the beach, we saw American Oystercatchers. We ended at Bunker Pond with a Belted Kingfisher, Tricolored Herons, and the Black Swan. Leaders: Chuck Slugg, Catherine Busch, Bert Hixon, and Marc & Lynne Breslow.
